Directions to Arauna FarmSt Martin’s Air Field & Float Fly SiteWELLINGTON
On the N1 North from Cape Town direction Paarl, take the R44, Stellenbosch/Klapmuts/Wellington off-ramp. At the stop at the end of the off-ramp, turn left to Wellington on the R44. Drive for 19.6km passing Animal Zone, Vlakte Bricks and the turn-off on the right to the Ruitersvlei vineards. Continue past the Durbanville turn-off on the left, the Red Star country shop on the right, Windmeul Cellar on the left and the tiny hamlet of Windmeul on the right. Continue past Nelson’s Creek Estate until you reach the fourway stop at the Florida Farm Stall. Cross straight over in the direction of Wellington. Drive for 2.6km and turn off left at the traffic lights on the Hermon road. After 1.4km turn right just after the Railway hotel, over the bridge and down the Main Road of Wellington. After 1.2km turn left at the traffic lights into Pentz Street, drive over the fourway stop to the traffic circle (just after the Wellington Swimming pool). Take the first road left (Addy Road) at the circle, drive for 500m past Onverwacht estate and turn right in Hexberg Road. After 950m turn left on Slangrivier road, which becomes a gravel road after 800m. Continue on the gravel road for 1.2km and turn left at the Arauna signpost.
Driving on the N1 South from Worcester in the direction of Cape Town take the R301 off-ramp, turn left in Jan van Riebeeck road in the direction of Wellington. Carry on straight ahead for 13.4km, past the traffic circle and continue through the industrial area of Paarl, past Huguenot Station and further on Dal Josafat Stadium on your right. Continue straight ahead, past the Paarl traffic centre on your left. Drive through Newton and past the Wellington Cemetery and Animal Hospital until you come to the traffic lights at the Andrew Murray Church on your left. Cross straight over and drive for 300m until the next set of traffic lights, turn right into Pentz Street. Drive over the fourway stop to the traffic circle (just after the Wellington Swimming Pool). Take the first road left (Addy Road) at the circle, drive for 500m past Onverwacht estate and turn right in Hexberg Road. After 950m turn left on Slangrivier road, which becomes a gravel road after 800m. Continue on the gravel road for 1.2km and turn left at the Arauna signpost.
